Miss Nicole’s goal is to provide a fun, affordable learning experience for your child as well as a professional introduction to theatre. She chose to teach through Columbus Recreation and Parks because she wants to share her love of the arts and offer an affordable dance experience to children of all ages. Whether your child is trying dance for the first time or wants to continue on as a professional, Miss Nicole’s goal is to inspire your child to pursue his or her dreams, big or small.

In order to provide an affordable experience to every dancer, we offer several ways for you to save on costs.

Shoes – We strongly encourage you to purchase your own shoes so that they fit correctly, however, we have several pairs and types of dance shoes at both Rec center locations. We may not have your child’s size, however, if we do, you are welcome to borrow shoes. Once your child outgrows his/her shoes please feel free to trade up to the next correct size. Please don’t choose shoes “to get by” a child can get hurt wearing shoes too big for their feet. Please return any borrowed shoes at the end of the session.

Leotards – We have several leotards on hand. When your child needs a bigger size we can trade up. We ask that you donate your old leotards and return any you borrow so the program can be a success. We also accept dance skirts, tutus and old costumes.

Sponsor a Child – We have many children that would love to take a second class or a sibling that would love to dance, and sometimes for some families purchasing a costume for the recital is a hardship. Any amount donated can contribute to the costs for these children to participate.

P.L.A.Y. Grants – These are available through the city to help with class fees. The city will cover $20 for one child for one class each session. Funds are limited and there are guidelines, please ask for details and an application.

Program Ads – Purchase programs ads to help with the cost of printing our Spring Recital Programs. Programs are free at the recital and make a great memento for your child to commemorate their dance experience. Place a special message to your child and even add a picture.

Non-Costume Classes– We don’t want any child to miss out on the opportunity to perform in the recital because of cost. We offer the opportunity for everyone to purchase a costume, however, if you opt not to, we will try to offer classes in the Spring Session for any child who would like to participate. However, the days and times Miss Nicole is available to add classes are limited and room availability is also a factor. Please let Miss Nicole know if you would like to be sponsored. We are willing to work with you, so your child can participate.
